Steve Glass, PhD FACSM is a professor of exercise physiology at Grand Valley State University. He has over 30 years’ experience teaching courses in exercise physiology, exercise prescription, sports medicine, and cardiac rehabilitation. He has developed undergraduate programs in Exercise Science at two different institutions and numerous classes, including cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. He has published work in the areas of effort sense (RPE) during activity, muscle activation (EMG) during exercise and rehabilitation, and studies in metabolism (fat, anaerobic threshold. He focuses his efforts on providing research experiences for undergraduate students, and curriculum design to prepare graduates to be effective in their work setting. Always active, has past training in martial arts, but his current passion is ballroom, rhythm, and swing dancing with his lovely wife Julie.
